John is an artist… One who loves rock and roll…  He has been inspired by the artists who created such bold and cutting edge album covers for rock and roll bands. Artists like Roger Dean, Frank Frazetta and Kelly Freas.  He studied at the  Art Institute of Pittsburgh and was greatly influenced by the styles of Dali, Picasso, Lichtenstein and other graphic illustrators at that time.

John will be participating in the Spring Exhibitions at the WaterWorks Visual Arts Center in Salisbury in the “You and Me: Group Show” exhibit.  The opening reception is on February 25th, 2011.

John also creates custom commissioned pieces including wooden guitars. John first uses his woodworking skills by cutting out the guitar shape, then creates his art on both sides including fret work and keys.  Afterwards, John applies up to ten coats of shellac to this art piece before it is finished.

Check out his work at www.johnsdynart.com.
